On Your Device

Warped keeps the photo and warp stack you're currently working on — every effect, anchor point, and setting in it — in the app's private storage area on your iPhone, reachable only by you opening the app.

A handful of small preferences — things like appearance and default export format — are stored the same way, using Apple's standard UserDefaults mechanism. These are settings, not content: none of them describe you, and none of them leave the device except as part of an iCloud device backup you control.

Warped does not use iCloud sync. Your work lives only on the device you created it on, and there is no server of ours in the loop at any point.

Your Photos

Warped asks for permission to your Photos library so you can choose a photo to warp and save your finished export back to your library. All warping happens entirely on-device through a custom Metal pipeline — a photo is never uploaded anywhere, and Burning Squirrel Productions never sees it.

You can review or revoke Photos access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Warped. Without it, Warped can't import a new photo or save an export, but anything already in progress on the device is unaffected.

What We Never Do

Your Control

Deleting the app removes its on-device copy of your work along with it. There's no "delete my account" step, because there was never an account to begin with — and nothing of yours ever left this device to begin with, either.
